Well what a couple of years it has been…

The world has recovered a great deal since the original creditcrunch/financial crisis – but many countries round the world still have a huge national debt to pay back.

The austerity cuts being put into action are designed to curb this national debt, but many have argued they have gone too far and could ruin the lives of millions of people forced into unemployment, and send the country back into the dark ages.

Unions are this week starting the fightback, trying to put pressure on the government to be more sensible and less short-sited in the their cuts.
