We have put together a data visualisation of the percentage of employed people on zero hours contracts in the UK.

Notes: The way data periods were organised changed in 2014 to be split into two sections per year, so we created an average yearly value from the two periods to use for the chart.
Analysis: The data shows that 2018 saw the first fall in the percentage of employed people on zero hours contracts since 2010.
Zero hours contract use doubled from 2012 to 2013, peaking in 2016-2017.
